Montclair State University George Segal Art Gallery

Designed with versatility at the forefront, the 7,650 square foot George Segal Art Gallery uses open space and simplicity for maximum flexibility within the gallery. A warm wood slatted ceiling and bamboo floor accentuates the open space and draws in daylight. Illuminated ceilings reinforce movement and detachment as a method of creating a theatrical sense of space and light.

Track lighting and subtle downlights highlight each gallery and allow mobility, which was crucial throughout the gallery due to portable display walls.

The total construction cost of this project was $1.4 million.
