Rice University, Raymond and Susan Brochstein Pavilion and Central Quadrangle
A newly modern glass enclosed pavilion sits centered in the refurbished Central Quadrangle of Rice University’s campus. A technology and communication driven vision, this building serves as a central meeting place, study break and discussion zone for students. The interior of the coffee shop mostly utilizes daylight, while supplemental track segments were carefully interlaced between fluorescent fixtures to keep uniformity, increase light levels and add sparkle to the transaction counters.
The canopy of the building is uplighted by modified fixtures with custom tie backs for support, integrating a powerful aesthetic with new technology.
In addition to the Brochstein Pavilion, we have also lit two new residential colleges on Rice’s historic campus: McMurtry College and Duncan College.
