Taishin Bank Tower

Taipei, Taiwan

Architect: Pei Cobb Freed & Partners
Completion: 2005

In Taipei, the curved, sweeping façade of the Taishin Bank building seamlessly wraps around the segment of Jenai Circle it occupies. At night, a fine balance of dark and white light set the tone, defining boundaries, and accentuating the shape of the building; while programmable color changing lights provide an additional dimension. At a slower frequency, soft, subtle color changing adds depth and value to the building, bringing the architecture and shape to life by animating the building’s “pulse;” while higher frequency color allows for additional festive lighting, showcasing the full capability of the lighting design.
