Abby McDougal
Designer

Ms. McDougal grew up holding a pencil and a sketchbook, constantly moving her hand on the page, listening best to lectures and lessons when she could follow a line with her eyes. Through this practice, she realized her strength in visual communication. Additionally, years of dance and choreography enhanced her understanding of forms and volumes.
Her thirst for knowledge brought her to Oklahoma State University, where she studied Interior Design and Theatre. Falling in love with her fields of study, her focus evolved to light. Her move towards a lighting career offered insight into the physical and mental world of design, allowing new angles of discovery and learning.
Outside the office, Abby enjoys painting and drawing, talking to and visiting friends and family, thinking about ghosts, helping anyone and everyone, going to antique stores, building things with her hands, dreaming up the impossible, and talking about philosophy. She hopes to be many different things in her life, and light will show her how.

Many hands make light work
