Ms. Cortez has always been fascinated with lighting. Early on, she realized the impact and influence lighting has on the atmosphere and environment of a space. When she came across the listing for a position with FMS, she was intrigued and excited at the opportunity. These past few months have been an enlightening glimpse behind the curtain – understanding the hardwork, creativity, and the science that goes into the lighting design that surrounds us.

Giselle has a background in the AEC industry, where she worked alongside administrative and marketing professionals enhancing and expanding her innate innovative thinking, organizational, time, and project management skills – all needed for success and client satisfaction in the work world.

One of Giselle’s personal passions is the art of cooking. She began when she was eight, and by the time she was 13 she was mastering favorite family dishes such as sancocho, aborrajado and arepas to name just three. Cooking is a form of relaxation and an integral part of her self-care routine. When her schedule allows, Giselle loves spending time outdoors, and will challenge herself by hiking to mountaintops where she can enjoy fresh air and the amazing scenery.
