Ms. Song-Carroll holds two Master’s degrees from Pratt Institute; one in Art History and one in Sculpture. During and after her studies, she designed dozens of illuminated public art installations at prominent galleries and public sites. These opportunities gave her an appreciation for the positive effect lighting can have on the public.

Miyoung’s early work experience designing and manufacturing custom decorative lighting fixtures for prominent hospitality clients uniquely positioned her for a transition to architectural lighting design.

Sustainability, human impact and well-being are always a key point in her work. Since joining FMS in 2005, Miyoung has brought her creativity, experience and intuitive artistic vision to hospitality, health care, institutional, museum, residential, corporate, and landscape projects, both domestic and internationally.

She is also fluent in Korean.
