Casa Kona House

Close collaboration and shared goals between client, architects, interior designers and lighting designers strive for magical realism in a unique residential jewel in Hawaii’s Big Island. The lighting design seeks to balance the role of this unique house as an object of art in itself, while affording the functionality and warmth of a true home.

Custom-built wall-niche halogen steplights guide visitors from the front door to the house, and the uplit entry wall and ceiling announce the main door. Rectangular wallwashers highlight walls and art while adhering to the strict geometry of the spaces. Custom-designed ceiling light niches provide ambient and circulation lighting.
