Covington New York

New York, New York

Client: Covington
Architect: LSM
Completion: 2026

Covington’s New York office anchors the larger Hudson Yards redevelopment project. With over 200 lawyers, the firm serves a sophisticated U.S. and international clientele in a range of industries.

Spanning multiple floors, the workplace is unified by a dramatic interconnecting staircase that serves as both a sculptural centerpiece and a conduit for movement. A striking feature wall reinforces the space’s architectural rhythm and vertical continuity. Integrated linear lighting traces the sculpted ceiling planes, emphasizing the
fluid geometry of the space while creating a refined visual cadence throughout circulation areas. Expansive, technology-rich conference centers are seamlessly woven into the environment, detailed with recessed cove illumination, layered ambient lighting, and discreet small-aperture downlights that deliver a warm, sophisticated glow
while supporting focused collaboration and client engagement.

Soft material palettes, clean linear forms, and luminous open interiors are enhanced by indirect lighting strategies that wash surfaces with subtle illumination, creating a calm yet elevated atmosphere. Fluid transitions between private offices, meeting areas, and communal spaces foster a sense of cohesion, warmth, and understated modernity, with carefully curated lighting elements reinforcing the workplace’s polished and contemporary character.
