Swedish Medical Center North Tower

The North Tower is the centerpiece of Swedish Medical Center’s First Hill Expansion project. Developed as part of their First Hill Master Plan, the new 16-story hospital tower will help Swedish continue providing the best environment for their patients, families, and caregivers.

The new North Tower will create a state-of-the-art environment for patients and caregivers that will include a new emergency department, private patient rooms, and operating rooms. Many campus-wide support services will be also be improved. Additionally, campus access, public safety, wayfinding, and the surrounding plazas and streetscapes will also be upgraded.

FMS is providing lighting design services for all public spaces, patient care areas, and clinical areas, as well the new emergency department drop-off and two new garden spaces.
