As part of a closely watched architectural competition, KieranTimberlake was awarded with the commission to design the new U.S. Embassy in London. Set on 5 acres along the Thames River, the new American Embassy will be a modern, open, environmentally sustainable structure that ensures a safe and secure environment through innovative design.

FMS has been brought on board to design a responsive electric lighting system that achieves maximum energy efficiency performance and supports the architectural aesthetic. The Embassy is part of the U.S. Department of State’s OBO Design Excellence Program and is scheduled to open in 2017. The project is targeting both LEED Platinum and BREEAM Outstanding certifications.
