Located on the Lower East Side, and designed by Swiss architects, Herzog & de Meuron for the high-concept hotelier Ian Schrager; the Public Hotel shows a provocative, refined, sophisticated and simple design.

FMS was brought onto the project team, to tackle the complexities of enveloping the guest rooms in soft halos of light controlled by sophisticated, yet intuitive, user-friendly controls.

FMS also collaborated in the lighting of corridors, the “Library”, as well as temporary tower-top signage.
