Ms. Martinez Nobles was endlessly scribbling and sketching as a child, a habit she has not broken. She was introduced to technical drafting at a young age by her curious father who recognized that she had some artistic abilities. During an internship with FMS she soaked up all of the opportunities that surrounded her – she was enamored by the cultural aspects, the legacy, the diversity and art form of many of the projects. She quickly understood there were few careers or companies that would allow her to touch and explore architecture around the world the way lighting design and FMS has.
Paula graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Architectural Engineering and a minor in Architectural Studies. She joined FMS in 2005, and brings technical, logical, artistic, and social balance to her projects. She is always mindful of the role lighting plays in persuading the user’s perception and emotions in a space, and how these vary with culture as much as program.
Paula’s eye for composition and appreciation for highlights and shadows comes from her love of photography and painting. She is fluent in Spanish and English and the mother of three witty, high-spirited girls.
