Jane L. Wechsler
Office Manager | Business Development

Ms. Wechsler realized our civilization’s reliance on LIGHT during the intense (almost biblical) darkness that befell Lower Manhattan following Hurricane Sandy in 2012.
Jane earned an MFA and BFA in photography and painting from Pratt Institute, where she learned that image making is all about LIGHT. Following her formal studies, Jane’s photographs of NY Harbor (taken in part while working as a cook on a tugboat) and of European circuses (while working at the ILO in Geneva) were exhibited in Switzerland and the US. Each image, each moment of time – is created by LIGHT.
Returning from Switzerland, she has spent over 20 years working for prestigious, award winning Architecture and Design firms in marketing and communications.
Outside of the office she is passionate about maintaining a daily painting and drawing practice. She is studying with renown painter Amy Weiskopf in New York City and Umbria. Other teachers include the great painter Jacob Lawrence and the photographer Roman Vishniac and Philip Perkis.
Her work has been exhibited and published in “Drawn to Theatre” a curious visual journal in sepia and black ink; documenting countless nights before the curtain – some created while working as an usher on Broadway. Although she loves mark making above all else – she enjoys swimming and reading and is an accomplished fiber-artist having exhibited and sold privately, at Julie Artisan Gallery, Takashimaya, and Bergdorf Goodman in NYC.
