Danny Blanco
Designer
Mr. Blanco was in an enriched art and design program at a Miami high school. As an artistic student, he explored how charcoal rendered light and shadow creating depth and three-dimensionality. He became intrigued by the idea of sculpting architecture with light.
Danny chose Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute for his undergraduate studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in Studio Arts. While at RPI, he created a Memory Box lighting installation as part of a design competition for hospital waiting rooms. The Memory Box was designed to create soothing and calming visual images for patients and caretakers using landscape and cityscape images and was recognized with an honorable mention.
Danny interned with FMS during the fall of 2021 working with senior design staff on over 50 different projects. He enjoyed the hands-on involvement, the challenge and fast pace of working with senior design staff even while being fully remote during the pandemic. Before returning to FMS full time in 2025, Danny worked at an architecture firm in Miami and with an artist in Orlando, gaining experience in 3D modeling and image-making.
Outside of the office, Danny enjoys going to museums, drawing, thrifting for vintage clothing and furniture and absolutely owning the mic at karaoke. His creative eye goes beyond design – whether it’s a thrifted outfit or the perfect playlist, he always brings the same sense of curiosity and style that fuels his design work.
