Mr. Fu grew up in Shandong, China. When he was still an undergraduate architecture student, he explored the use of cutting-edge building technologies that would improve the built environment and human experience. Following graduation from Tianjin University, with a Bachelor of Architecture, Lei joined the Building Science program at University of Southern California, specializing in building simulation and lighting.
Educated as an architect, with a background as a building-science researcher, Lei is able to identify the most appropriate design approach and technology to accomplish and fulfill client and architect’s program requirements. He has worked in the corporate, commercial, mixed-use, residential, institutional, healthcare and hospitality sectors; creating aesthetic, sustainable, comfort based and user-friendly environments within both budget and schedule.
An avid hiker and camper, Lei can frequently be found on Tiger Mountain, a few miles east of Seattle, while Mount Rainier to the south is another favorite location. Lei also enjoys spending time woodworking, and renovating his old house.
